Claude 3 AI unveiled: Will it dethrone ChatGPT?

In retrospect, OpenAI revolutionized the artificial intelligence (AI) industry with ChatGPT. Competitors like Google’s Gemini, Elon Musk’s xAI Grok, and, recently, Claude; surged with popular solutions following OpenAI’s leadership.

On March 4, Anthropic, a startup founded by former members of OpenAI, announced the launch of Claude 3. This is the third AI model of a promising family, which is set to challenge ChatGPT-4’s capacities.

Essentially, the Claude 3 AI model has what Anthropic called “three state-of-the-art models:” Haiku, Sonnet, and Opus.

How to use Claude 3 AI?

Users can access the artificial intelligence model at claude.ai, which is still limited in some countries. Notably, Claude is free to use with usage limitations. Therefore, users looking for an improved experience can upgrade to Claude Pro for a $20 monthly subscription.

For example, the free access only supports the intermediary model, Sonnet, while Opus is only available for Claude Pro users.

However, like its competitors, Anthropic commercializes an API that specialized services and businesses can contract and offer to their customers. On that note, finding Claude 3 AI chatbot API is possible on third-party platforms like Amazon Bedrock and Vertex AI Model Garden.

Interestingly, cryptocurrency users can already access Claude 3 Opus on NanoGPT – a “pay-per-prompt” AI platform that allows worldwide, anonymous, instant, and feeless payments for multiple models using Nano (XNO) and other cryptocurrencies. How does Anthopic’s AI compare to ChatGPT-4 and other models?

From an “intelligence” perspective, Claude 3 has outperformed other AI models like ChatGPT-4 and Gemini 1.0, according to Anthropic’s benchmark.

Notably, Opus scored higher accuracy than GPT-4 and Gemini 1.0 Ultra in all benchmarked categories.
